General Information
Ethnynyl estradiol (EE) is majorly used to control pregnancy after sex as a contraception in combined oral contraceptives (COC). It is an estrogen medication used widely in birth control pills in combination with progestins. EE was widely used for various indications such as the treatment of menopausal symptoms, gynecological disorders, and certain hormone-sensitive cancers.
